My cute hair stylist, Jessica, told me about this mascara! It is currently at Costco, sold in a pack of three. Oh my gosh. I have been using the $29 Lancome Definicils for over 10 years now and this ECLIPSES any mascara I have tried. Thanks Jessica, I love it!

My favorite summer book! It is set in the majestical city, Paris. The street names are familiar; the subject is historically fascinating. You will absolutely love it. I could not put it down. I highly recommend it.

I decided to throw a little party this weekend--just for fun, to celebrate Spring's tardy arrival in Utah. It was really easy, even with a brand new baby, I just threw it together. What do you think?

friends have recently asked me where they can find a cute handbag for spring without paying designer prices. there are definitely some great options. I tend to pick tote bags that provide space for all the necessities! one of my favorite looks is a monochromatic outfit with a solid-colored leather tote bag. it doesn't matter what you wear . . . your bag becomes the focus.

here are a few affordable options:

1) Banana Republic's Large Leather Tote $98 in PLUM --

2) Dooney & Bourke's Large Zipper Pocket Sac $265 in ORANGE -- a personal favorite! I have two and I LOVE the gold hardware and very durable leather. Comes in a variety of colors!

too long! It has been exciting to participate; the winner will

Color of the Season

i am in love with the color "light berry" at jcrew right now.

everyone looks amazing in it, from my cute blonde friend,

Shannon Freedman, to my brunette sister, Caitlin Wilson,

it is a great color for everyone. i always pick a seasonal color

to energize my wardrobe. for those who know me, it always tends

to be some shade of pink. this is definitely my color of the season--

it is okay to buy lots of one color, monochromatic wardrobes

are timeless. mix the seasonal color with all your basic whites,

blacks and of course dark denims.

Dare to Design Dress Contest Results

My two darling friends, Emi Edgley and Arlene Lauper, both encouraged me to enter one of my dress designs in Shabby Apple's "Dare to Design" dress contest! I did it .. and found out just yesterday that my design -The Kate Dress- made the top 15 dress designs. Now I must garner enough votes to see through to dress production!
